The Prize comprises accommodation for two people in one double room with breakfast each morning on Friday 16 June and Saturday 17 June at Bowden Country House in Melrose. Tickets to your choice of events at the 2023 Borders Book Festival on Friday 16, Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 June 2023, up to 20 tickets. Vouchers for food and drink at the Festival’s food village and bar. A bundle of 30 books selected from the Book Festival’s 2023 programme (can be delivered to any UK address).

The Prize excludes transport to and from Melrose and delivery of the Giant Book Bundle to addresses outside the UK.

Only one entry per person. The Prize Draw opens 18 May 2023. The closing date is Friday 9 June 2023 at 13.00. The winner will be drawn at random no later than midnight on Friday 9 June 2023.

By entering the competition you are consenting for Borders Book Festival to contact you by email to announce the winner, and send you emails containing information about Borders Book Festival. You may unsubscribe from the emails at any time using the link provided in the email.

This prize draw is not open to employees or contractors of Borders Book Festival, their immediate families, nor to any other person connected with the prize draw.

The winner will be drawn at random from all eligible entries and notified by email soon after the draw takes place on Friday 9 June. If no response is received from the winner within 2 days of the date of emailing, a replacement will be randomly selected and notified on the same basis. Borders Book Festival decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

The Prize cannot be exchanged or transferred. There is no cash alternative. As far as permitted by law, Borders Book Festival will not be responsible or liable for any loss or damage arising as a result of or in connection with the prize. Your statutory rights are not affected.

Borders Book Festival will announce the surname of the winner to competition entrants and anyone who emails to indicate that a valid draw took place.

Entries received after the closing date will not qualify and no responsibility will be taken for lost, delayed, or incomplete entries, however caused.

Your personal data is held and used by Borders Book Festival in accordance with current UK data protection legislation. We will only share this data with third parties for the purpose of administering the Prize (for example, the accommodation provider).
